THORESEN REVIEW AND SUB POST OFFICES

That this House welcomes the publication of the final report of the Thoresen review of generic financial advice; recognises the fundamental importance of delivering effective, impartial financial advice; further welcomes the report's conclusion that the Post Office is an obvious example of a trusted intermediary to deliver quality financial advice; and calls on the Government to commit to providing the Post Office network with the additional business the Money Guidance Scheme could bring.
