The motion

That this House expresses concern at the recent decision taken by BBC Scotland to cut over 70 jobs on top of 96 redundancies already made this year; is concerned about the effect that this decision will have on the quality of BBC output given commitments made earlier this year to increase BBC Scotland's share of BBC Network production (UK wide) over the next few years; notes that surveys conducted by unions and management in BBC Scotland have highlighted unacceptable stress levels amongst staff; is worried about the effect that further job cuts will have on staff welfare; and urges the BBC to rethink its plans and ensure that BBC Scotland is properly resourced.
