The motion
That this House notes the concern across Europe, including the UK, at the Bush Administration's plans to install further missile defence bases on the continent; welcomes the support for nuclear disarmament initiatives from Barack Obama; further notes that Mr Obama has made no commitment to missile defence until the technology is proved to be workable; further notes that this House has not had a debate on missile defence since January 2003; and calls on the Government to scrutinise US missile defence deployment plans in the UK and their implications for UK and European security as a whole.
