POLICE LONG-SERVICE MEDAL

That this House welcomes Warwickshire police officer Ken Fowler's campaign to see the police long-service medal awarded after 20 years, in line with fire and ambulance employees; welcomes the Home Office's decision to review the current 22 year rule; and calls on the Government to acknowledge the widespread support the campaign has received throughout the police force, including many chief constables, and to recognise the validity of this campaign by agreeing to harmonise the rules for long-service recognition across the emergency services.
