DEFENCE INFORMATION INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT

That this House supports the Committee of Public Accounts' criticisms of the Defence Information Infrastructure project which is now 18 months behind schedule and 182 million over budget; and in light of this report urges the Ministry of Defence not to award the Atlas consortium any further work on the project but instead to consider options to improve the current IT systems using in-house capability, which would be the more efficient and cost-effective option for the taxpayer.
