Tabled by Mr John Leech (Liberal Democrat) 2 signatures

The motion

That this House welcomes the belated decision of Manchester City Council to remove the B of the Bang sculpture in order to put it in storage; believes that the sculpture was an expensive embarrassment from the moment of its conception; notes with regret Manchester City Council's announcement that the sculpture could be re-erected in future; further notes with alarm estimates of between £2 million and £3 million to re-erect the sculpture; calls on the Labour leader of Manchester City Council to apologise for the embarrassment the project has brought to the city; and further calls on the Council to rule out any further expenditure on this disastrous project.
