The motion
That this House notes the important work carried out by the National Flood Forum (NFF); praises the NFF's excellent efforts in providing support and advice to communities and individuals that have been flooded or are at risk of flooding; regrets that the Environment Agency has refused to continue funding the NFF beyond the first three years; understands that the NFF's running costs are a relatively low £200,000 per year; urges water companies to consider providing their share of the funding necessary for the NFF to continue its operations; and calls on the Government urgently to discuss flood funding with all the parties involved.
