HEATHROW AIRPORT EXPANSION

The motion
That this House welcomes the statement by the chief executives of a wide range of leading companies that the economic case for expanding Heathrow Airport has not been made; and calls upon the Government to commission an independent economic assessment of the Heathrow expansion proposals for report to Parliament and to announce a moratorium on the Heathrow expansion process until this independent assessment has been published and considered by Parliament.
