NATIONAL TACKLING DRUGS WEEK 2009

That this House welcomes National Tackling Drugs Week 2009 from 8 to 12 June; supports the purpose of the week to increase public confidence and awareness of the work being carried out in response to drug priorities; notes the involvement of Crimestoppers UK which has received almost 38,000 pieces of actionable information about drugs offences used to help seize over £19 million worth of drugs; and congratulates the Government on its continued effort to tackle the drug supply at all levels and thanks all the agencies involved in Operation Crackdown.
