WITHINGTON UNDER 17s FOOTBALL TEAM AND THE STREETLIFE CUP

That this House congratulates Withington under-17s football team on winning the Streetlife Cup at the City of Manchester Stadium on 29 May 2009; notes that the Streetlife Cup was established in 2006 as part of an initiative by Manchester City Council to provide young people who do not ordinarily have the chance to partake in structured, competitive sport with the opportunity to do so; and welcomes this type of event as a means of engaging young people in healthy, fun, organised activities.
