REGULATION OF HEDGE FUNDS

That this House expresses concern at the European Commission's proposed regulation of hedge funds; notes that the draft directive will restrict non-EU funds which could provoke a transatlantic regulatory war; and urges the Government to intervene on behalf of the UK's financial sector and maintain London's position as a global financial centre and not solely a European financial centre.
