Tabled by Sir Michael Grylls (Conservative) 81 signatures

The motion

That this House, in the interests of National Health Service patients and millions of others throughout the world who are suffering from disabling or life-threatening diseases which are currently incurable or inadequately treated, urges Her Majesty's Government to give encouragement to innovative pharmaceutical companies in their search for new and more effective medicines by fully supporting the European Commission's proposals to restore patent protection for new pharmaceutical innovations, which has been seriously eroded by increasing research and development times, and by regulatory authority requirements in granting product licences
