The motion

leave out from 'warming' to end and add 'recognises that this has been achieved in accordance with the principle of consensus negotiation which provides the keystone of the Antarctic Treaty system; congratulates the Government on its support for that system and its open-minded approach to the forthcoming meetings in Chile; and urges upon the Government the importance of seeking a constructive return to consensus within that system with respect to the Antarctic minerals issue.'.
