ASBESTOS COMPENSATION FUND

The motion

That this House welcomes the decision by the London Pensions Fund Authority to set up an £85 million asbestos compensation fund; notes the medical warnings that asbestos claims will double in the next decade; further notes the devastating effects of asbestos-related illnesses; and urges other pension fund authorities to set up similar compensation funds.
