That this House joins with the UK maritime industry in denouncing the announcement from Maersk Company that it will be making a third of its UK maritime officers redundant and reducing employment opportunities for newly-qualified trainees; and calls on Maersk to play its role to safeguard the future of this time-honoured profession.
