The motion

That this House deplores the comments made by the Chief of the Scout Board of Uganda, David Bahati MP, calling for serial homosexual offenders to be hanged; notes that the comments lack humanity and are not consistent with the Scout Movement's goals of personal development and promoting physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual; calls on the Chief Executive of the UK Scout Association, Mr Derek Twine, to press his colleagues in the World Organisation of the Scout Movement to expel Mr Bahati from his post; and further calls on Ugandan MPs to vote against the proposed Anti-Homosexuality Bill which was authored by Mr Bahati.
