SALE OF GREATER MANCHESTER WEEKLY NEWSPAPERS

The motion

That this House regrets the sale of the Manchester Evening News and 22 regional titles in the North West to Trinity Mirror, thereby severing a 189-year link between Manchester and the Guardian and the Scott Trust; notes that staff and titles will be relocated to Chadderton, Oldham; and hopes that this will not lead to further job losses.
