YORKSHIRE RIPPER

Tabled by Sir Philip Davies (Conservative) 3 signatures

The motion

That this House notes that the Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe, has started a legal battle to gain parole following his conviction in 1981 for 13 murders and the attempted murder of seven others; understands that he was given 20 life sentences for his evil killing spree which caused widespread terror over many years; notes that those he brutally murdered had their lives ended at his hands; considers that the families of those he murdered and his other victims were handed life sentences by him; and believes that it would be completely unjust for this serial killer not to remain in prison for the whole of his life.
