AVAILABILITY OF CHILDCARE

That this House notes with concern that many workers continue to struggle to agree working hours that enable them also to care for their children; further notes that many parents find it hard to obtain employment which coincides with nursery and school hours, and shift workers are particularly badly affected by the lack of available and affordable childcare outside of these times; and urges the Government to do all it can to provide support for the provision of widely available and affordable childcare outside of nursery and school hours.
