HON. MEMBERS WHO DO NOT TAKE THEIR SEATS
Tabled by David Simpson (Democratic Unionist Party)

The motion
That this House believes that hon. Members who refuse to take their seats fail to give proper representation to their constituents in that they deliberately absent themselves from debates on the Budget, on the Queen's Speech, on benefits, on foreign policy, on immigration, on the economy, on levels of taxation, on defence and on any decision to take the United Kingdom to war; and in consequence further believes that no parliamentary allowances should be paid to them.
