TELEVISION REPLAYS AND FOOTBALL MATCHES

That this House notes that the failure of the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) to introduce the use of modern technologies, including television replays as the best set of eyes available to help inform decisions of officials on the football pitch, denies referees of the best possible means of doing their job and leads to demonstrably unjust decisions and outcomes of matches and leaves the referee the least informed person regarding what is happening on the football pitch; and calls on FIFA to permit the use of modern technology on the football field immediately.
