The motion
That this House notes that people suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy who live in Denmark are living into their 30s and 40s, proof that with the relevant available care, children and young men suffering from this debilitating illness can live on average 10 to 15 years longer than under the medical regime adopted for sufferers in the UK; urges the Government to immediately investigate why authorities and institutions in Britain have not yet adopted the Danish model of care for sufferers of this illness; and further urges the Government to ensure delivery of the same level of quality of treatment for UK citizens.
