APPRENTICES ON THE OLYMPIC SITE

The motion
That this House recognises that opportunities to train local youngsters on the Olympic site are not being fully utilised; notes that just four apprentices on the Olympic site hail from Hackney; further notes that all five Olympic boroughs have high levels of unemployment, particularly among young people; believes that further prioritisation by officials is needed in order to leave a true legacy for host boroughs; and calls on the Government to set targets to encourage recruitment of unemployed youngsters locally between now and 2012.
