SPORTING LISTED EVENTS AND THE ASHES

That this House opposes the decision not to include the Ashes in the A-list of free-to-air television; calls on the Government to reverse its decision and instead accept the recommendations of the David Davies Review; further opposes measures which deprives UK audiences from being able to share in the triumphs and tribulations of the national team; and calls on the Government to guarantee the future of cricket by enabling the biggest audience and not the smallest.
