The motion
That this House notes that Lancashire Police Constabulary has begun consulting on making police community support officers redundant; further notes the importance of community policing and the Government's insistence that budget cuts should not fall on frontline staff; believes that these cuts could be made by reducing bureaucracy and waste; requests the Chief Constable of Lancashire to look at streamlining police administration instead of cutting the frontline; and further requests that Lancashire Police Authority organise an urgent meeting between the full authority and local hon. Members so that alternative cuts in bureaucracy can be proposed.
