CHILDREN OF PEACE CHARITY

The motion

That this House supports the non-partisan, multi-faith UK charity Children of Peace in its ground-breaking work to protect Israeli and Palestinian children aged four to 17 in Gaza, Israel and the West Bank; notes that it is dedicated to peace-building through its unique Coalition of Peace and is building trust, friendship, reconciliation between the children and their communities, regardless of culture, faith, gender or heritage, is conducting vital connections between community-based organisations and non-governmental organisations in Israel and Palestine through its arts, education, health and sports programmes and projects and has united Christians, Jews and Muslims across the world in support of its conflict resolution position; and applauds Children of Peace for its refusal to take sides and its singular achievement in helping to advance the cause of peace, tolerance and greater understanding in the region.
