The motion
That this House recognises the importance of work experience placements for young people, but believes that those undertaking work experience should not be offered jobs which would otherwise be filled by paid employees; is concerned at reports that the Home Office has offered work experience placements for around 20 people at the UK's main office for emigration administration at Lunar House, Croydon, while at the same time preparing to make full-time staff redundant; and calls on the Government not to use unpaid work experience placements to do the work hitherto undertaken by paid employees.
