The motion
That this House notes that at present digital radio is only transmitted in certain areas, and in some places FM and AM signals seems to have a stronger signal; further notes that many people with FM and AM car radios would like to continue using them; concludes however, that with the rapid advance of the internet, more and more people will listen to their radio via a broadband connection or a mobile smart phone, not via digital or analogue radio signal; and therefore asks the Government to remember that the internet revolution will soon overtake the industry, and will make digital radios seem antiquated technology, whether or not the taxpayer funds an advertising campaign.
