SCHOOL CLOSURES DUE TO SEVERE WEATHER

That this House notes that severe weather has in many cases been closing schools across the country for two weeks or more; further notes that this represents five per cent. of a child's education each year; further notes that this is in addition to days missed for ill health and other authorised activities; and urges the Government to put in place alternative arrangements to ensure our children are taught for a complete academic year.
