PRIME MINISTER'S VISIT TO SCOTLAND AND THE FUTURE OF HAMPDEN PARK

Tabled by Harry Ewing (Labour) 47 signatures

The motion

That this House calls upon the Prime Minister, during his visit to Scotland on Saturday 22nd February, to announce a financial commitment towards the refurbishment of Scotland's national football stadium, Hampden Park; and, bearing in mind that the original commitment, cancelled by the Government in late 1979, was for ú5 million, believes the new commitment should take account of inflation over the past 13 years and should be a sum well in excess of the original sum of ú5 million.
