VOLUNTARY ACTION-LEEDS AND LEEDS YEAR OF VOLUNTEERING

That this House commends Voluntary Action-Leeds for their work in increasing volunteering across Leeds by over 200 per cent. in 2010, the Leeds Year of Volunteering; notes their contribution to the annual value of volunteering in Leeds, which is estimated to be worth 39.5 million; welcomes their assisting of an array of schemes with small grants, start-up guidance and advice with their financial affairs; and supports their forthcoming work in the European Year of Volunteering 2011.
