DEAF PEOPLE AND THE GENERAL ELECTION

That this House calls on the Secretary of State for the Home Department to take the necessary steps to ensure that all television programmes, including party political broadcasts, on all channels, which report on, or comment on, political matters are signed and subtitled, so that the two and a half million people who are deaf or hard of hearing are put on par with the general hearing public in the run up to the general election.
