The motion

That this House is concerned at the increase of cyber-bullying in the UK; notes that cyber-bullying can impact on people of all ages across all walks of life; further notes that too many individuals have suffered abuse, harassment and inaccurate informationabout them published online; is further concerned that many website operators do not address this serious problem effectively and that the Government's light-touch regulatory approach provides no incentive for them to do so; and calls on the Government to introduce a strategy to combat cyber-bullying, with clear sanctions in place for website operators who fail to adequately discharge their responsibilities in this area.
