Tabled by Michael Connarty (Labour) 28 signatures

The motion

That this House is deeply concerned at continuing reports of the large-scale murder of Urdu-speaking Mohajir people in Karachi and Sind region in Pakistan, including shootings in broad daylight (such as five staff and engineers of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board on 22 August 2011), kidnapping from buses and burning of property; is alarmed at the apparent lack of response from the police and the Pakistan government; and calls on the UK Government to raise concerns about such alleged ethnic cleansing with the government of Pakistan at the highest level as a matter of urgency.
