STEVE WEAVER CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF BLACKPOOL COUNCIL

That this House places on record its appreciation for the distinguished service the retiring Chief Executive of Blackpool Council, Steve Weaver, has given to the town and people of Blackpool; notes that in the 10 years in which he has served as chief executive major development and regeneration projects for the town, including the refurbishment of the world-famous Towerand Winter Gardens and its acquisition and ownership for the town, the sea defences and new promenade, new Tower headland and tramway have been achieved or are now nearing completion, along with major renewal of buildings and services in the community; and applauds the commitment, skill and vision he has given to these initiatives and wishes him well for the future.
