The motion
That this House is aware that lifelong learning changes and enriches people's lives by its support for self confidence, health and well-being, it being also a powerful driver in aiding rehabilitation of citizens living at the edges of society by it acting as a catalyst for the positive development of local communities; notes that in particular adult education plays a major part in this success by bringing about thousands of personal transformations every year, across all sectors of society; commends the Workers Education Association on its recent campaigning report, Learning Through Life, which challenges both Ministers and all other politicians to recognise education contribution; and supports its call to redistribute existing resources more equitably across all age groups.
