BLACKPOOL ARMED FORCES COVENANT AND VETERANS CHARTER

That this House notes with approval the signing of the Blackpool Armed Forces Community and Veterans Charter at Blackpool Town Hall which commits its signatories, Blackpool's Council and hon. Members, NHS Blackpool and a range of communities, the Fylde Ex-Service Liaison Committee as well as 42 Brigade North West representing the military, to mutual support between the community and armed forces and veterans; further notes Blackpool's strong and continued support for the armed forces, both through its annual armed forces and veterans week, the Blackpool Royal British Legion's Poppython and a host of other activities; and commends the tireless work of Councillor Jim Houldsworth of the Fylde Ex-Service Liaison Committee in bringing this initiative about.
