The motion
That this House believes that the foiling of the Gunpowder Plot should be properly commemorated and that the significance of 5 November should be remembered; recognises the importance of the thwarting of a grave act of terrorism upon our country's democracy; calls on the House authorities either to provide access for the public to the location where the present commemorative plaque is located or to allow for a proper plaque to be installed on the line of routefor parliamentary tours; and further calls on all members of both Houses of Parliament to donate money for a new and improved plaque properly to commemorate this important moment in British history.
