RAGIP ZARAKOLU AND HUMAN RIGHTS IN TURKEY

That this House calls on the Turkish government to release Ragip Zarakolu immediately from detention as well as the many other scholars, academics, researchers, writers, journalists and human rights activists who are imprisoned in Turkey for expressing their thoughts; and believes that these detentions undermine the Turkish state's claims of democratic progress and respect for human rights.
