EUROPEAN LIMB LOSS DAY

That this House welcomes the first ever European Limb Loss Day on 3 December 2011; recognises the need for a day that reminds all of the necessity for quality care that allows those who have lost limbs to fully participate in society; and supports the efforts of the Associate Parliamentary Limb Loss Group to promote the provision of prosthetics, orthotics and other vital rehabilitation services, as well as highlighting the need to prevent cases of limb loss caused by peripheral arterial disease and diabetes.
