GENERAL STRIKE IN EGYPT

That this House expresses its support for the general strike in Egypt due to be held on 11 February 2012 called by the Egyptian Federation of Independent Trade Unions and supported by the Egyptian Democratic Labour Congress, which has been convened to demand the return of the military to barracks and the immediate restoration of civilian rule with the formation of a government free from the influence of members and supporters of the Mubarak regime.
