DEBT COLLECTION COMPANIES

That this House notes that many debt collection companies work on bully tactics; further notes that whilst companies have a right to collect debts they should not be sending threatening letters to vulnerable people as this can be deeply distressing and yields are relatively low anyway; and urges the Government to look into this matter with some urgency to prevent companies behaving in this manner.
