DIABETES HEALTH CHECKS

That this House is deeply concerned that 1.3 million diabetes sufferers in Britain may not be receiving the health checks they need; notes that diabetes complications such as amputations and blindness can be prevented by early detection and careful management; further notes with alarm the regional variations in diabetes health check provision; and calls on the Government to ensure that all diabetes sufferers receive the nine healthcare checks they need a year in every primary care trust.
