UK MANUFACTURING EMPLOYMENT

That this House is deeply disturbed by the news that the Ministry of Justice has awarded a 34 million contract for uniform to a Chinese supplier which will deprive the UK textile and clothing industry of employment opportunities and markets; and calls for an investigation into the ethical supply aspects of the Chinese suppliers and the reasons for UK Government departments showing such contempt for the British manufacturing sector and British employees.
