The motion

That this House welcomes the Government's support for the recommendations made in the Murrison Report, A Better Deal for Military Amputees; is encouraged that £15 million has been identified to help implement the report's recommendations; recognises that there is a need to address the disparity of access for the latest prosthetic technology for NHS amputee patients; notes that in 2010 only 12 C-Leg microprocessor knees were fitted by the NHS; further notes that it is estimated that an additional £15 million could deliver access to microprocessor knees for all suitable NHS patients and would save the service money in the long-term; and calls on the Government to consider this and other ways to ensure amputees have access to the most appropriate technology.
