REDKEN NYC RUNWAY TO REALITY AWARD

That this House congratulates Andrew Barton's salon on winning the Redken NYC Runway to Reality award; notes that this is the latest in a series of awards for the salon; believes that Andrew Barton's career stands as an inspiration to all young people from disadvantaged backgrounds; further believes that all of these awards show the skill and professionalism of well-trained hairdressers whilst highlighting the need to ensure standards are maintained right across the board; calls on the Government to bring in mandatory regulation of hairdressers through the Hairdressing Council; and further congratulates Andrew Barton and Marlon Hawkins on winning this important national award.
