BRADFORD ODEON

That this House notes the cancellation of the agreement between the Homes and Communities Agency and Langtree to demolish the Bradford Odeon; further notes that the Bradford Odeon is an iconic symbol of Bradford and Bradford's decline as it has languished, unused and deteriorating for the last decade; calls on the Government to convene an inquiry into the regeneration debacle in Bradford which not only emcompasses the Odeon but also the failure of Westfield to develop a shopping mall in the centre of Bradford, leaving an enormous hole where the development should have taken place; and further calls on the Government to put in place a strategy to secure the investment needed to make the city of Bradford a great city to live and work in again.
