ELECTRICAL FIRE SAFETY WEEK

That this House notes that, according to the Electrical Safety Council, misuse of electrical appliances is now the number one cause of dwelling fires in Great Britain; welcomes safety messages from the Electrical Safety Council, Fire Kills Campaign and fireand rescue services nationwide in the context of Electrical Fire Safety Week; and urges householders to undertake basicvisual safety checks in order to stop preventable fire accidents from occurring in their own home.
