BIG CHANGE CAMPAIGN

That this House notes the Big Change campaign, run by Which? and 38 Degrees, calling for fundamental reforms to the practices and culture of the banking industry; believes that the Parliamentary Commission on Banking Standards should make sweeping recommendations to improve the professional standards of the sector; agrees that bankers should put customers first, not sales, that they should meet professional standards and comply with a code of conduct and should be punished for mis-selling and bad practice; and calls for a return to banks for customers, not bankers.
