REPORTING OF INCIDENTS CAPTURED ON CCTV

That this House awaits with interest developments following discussions between police and the right hon. Member for Sutton Coldfield at the gatesto Downing Street in September 2012; invites the Press Complaints Commission, the Independent Police Complaints Commission, the advisers to Sir Brian Leveson and the BBC and other broadcasters to review their coverage and reporting of that incident; believes there are lessons to be learned, including on the corroboration of media reports with CCTV recordings; and looks forward to public debate when possible on these matters.
